Our March Auction, reflected the mood in the current Economic Climate, with generally a nervous anticipation in the Room.


With a change of venue to the Hampshire Suite, the Auction itself was well attended, with a wide and varied selection of Lots.

The Auctioneer, anticipated that he would have his work ‘cut – out’ and so it proved, with less than half of the Lots Sold in the room.

However, a familiar pattern has since occurred with a number of offers being received outside of the Auction Room, which has led to an increased number of Sales.


We move on to our May Auction in positive mood, with a number of Lots already secured, so please call soon if you would like your property featured.


There was an air of uncertainty around the February auction. Activity had been good and there were a reasonable number of enquiries with a few offers being presented before the day, which resulted in a couple of properties being sold prior. Outstanding legal issues regrettably accounted for others having to be withdrawn and on the day 9 lots were available and taken to the room.

Yes, things sold at the venue and those together with others that went within the next 24 hours meant a success rate of 78% had been achieved!

An excellent result in these more difficult times.

Wednesday 17th October saw our seventh Auction of the Year at the Hilton Hotel, Ageas Bowl. Whilst the wet weather appeared to have an affect on the overall attendance on the day, there was still an eager audience in anticipation of their intended ‘Lot’ Number.

This Auction saw a good cross section of properties across the Region, ranging from 2 bedroom Mid-Terraced houses in Portsmouth to a detached 3-bedroom Bungalow in Hythe.

We are pleased to report that an overall success rate of 67% was achieved, maintaining our healthy average year to date of over 70% sales to Lot ratio.

Another excellent auction was held on the 4th July with a success rate of 75%.

Although 2 of the cheaper lots were sold prior to the auction, all of the properties in the room were more in the mid-range, averaging around £290,000 and in total over £2.0 million stock was sold. So the demand is obviously still there for not only the cheap little flats and older houses in need of updating but also detached properties with some potential.

On this occasion we included a 37′ Hershine Cruiser that sleeps 6 but the bids were a little short of the £60,000 Guide Price, so at the moment it is still available.
